Manhunt underway in search for woman wanted in missing New Jersey woman’s disappearance

A woman is in custody in connection with a missing New Brunswick woman who went missing in September, police said Wednesday.

Lance Armstrong, 37, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office for failure to appear on a preliminary hearing in Newark.

He was charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated criminal trespass.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.

Authorities were still searching for Armstrong’s wife, Krista Armstrong, who went to New Brunswick from New York to be with her husband.

The woman had been missing since Monday.

Her disappearance sparked a massive search for Armstrong in the state’s second-largest city.

Krista Armstrong was last seen Monday in New Brunswick.

She had been seen leaving her home, but her husband told authorities she was missing.

She is the third missing New Jerseyan woman to be found this month, according to police.

Kristina Armstrong was reported missing on September 15.

She was last known to have been at the home of her brother, who lives nearby, on September 12.

Police were still trying to track down Krista’s brother, a member of the Jersey City police department, but they were not able to locate him until Wednesday.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Essex District Attorney’s office at 860-822-3315.
